This Privacy Policy describes how Rally handles your information. Rally helps sports fans discover games, join tailgates and watch parties, and chat with other fans.
Account info (your email, and a password if you set one). Profile info you choose to add (display name, username, bio, home city, photo, favorite teams, fan tags). Location while you use the app, with your permission, to show nearby events on the map — we do not track location in the background. Content you create (posts, comments, chat messages, photos, gatherings, listings). Usage and device info, including a push notification token. Your phone number only if you choose to verify it.
To run your account and profile, show relevant nearby events and recommendations, enable social features (friends, groups, chat, posts, gatherings), send notifications you have enabled, keep Rally safe (enforce our Terms, review reports, moderate content), and respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information. Your public profile and content are visible to other users per the app’s features. We use service providers to run the app: chat (Stream), file/photo storage (Cloudflare R2), email (Resend), hosting and database (Render), sports data (TheSportsDB), maps/geocoding (the device map provider and OpenStreetMap), and push delivery (Apple/Expo). We may share information for legal reasons or to protect Rally and its users.
We keep your information while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account any time in Settings → Delete Account. Your profile, photos, posts, and messages are removed or anonymized immediately. If you bought or sold tickets in the 30 days before deletion, we retain limited identifying records for up to 30 additional days to handle disputes, fraud, and chargebacks, then erase them. Some records may be retained longer where the law requires it.
Turn location and notifications on or off in your device settings. Edit or remove profile details in the app. Delete your account in-app, or email us with questions about your data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access or correct your data.
We use industry-standard measures (encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access controls) to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Rally is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and accounts must provide a date of birth confirming they are 18+. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will remove it.
